Hello!

Born and raised in Winona, homes have always held a special place in my heart. When I was 2, my room had wallpaper with little houses all over. When I was 9, I discovered home plan magazines, and I quickly became enamored with them. I would pour over them any chance I had. I loved the different configurations and styles of all the homes. I also loved building a life and world around the plans I saw. I would “play house” and imagine what type of life I would have inside those walls. My entire childhood, it feels, was surrounded by houses.

Fast forward to college, and I received my Bachelors in Business Management and Entrepreneurship and then went back to receive my AAS in Architectural Drafting and Design. While in school, I interned with BDH & Young, a commercial interior design firm. While I was there, it was the first time I interacted and saw the day-to-day work of interior designers. I very quickly realized that that was the side of things I wanted to be on. Those were the decisions I wanted to make. After moving from Minnesota to Colorado to Utah, I started a small home development company and built homes for 5 years. One of my responsibilities was picking out all the finishes, and again, I was hit with the feeling that that is what I want to do. Then I decided to take the leap, and here I am. I am finally starting this journey as a designer on my own. 

In 2017, I moved back to Minnesota and set up shop in my hometown. When I am not scheming up designs, I am doing something fun outside with my husband, Mike, my two kids, Charlie and Joey, and our dog, Rosie.
