ORC Week 6- Dresser is all done!

You know when something turns out 100 times better than you expect it to? Yeah. That is exactly what happened here! I couldn’t be happier with how good this dresser looks. The power of paint never ceases to amaze me!

When we pulled this drawer unit out of a bedroom closet, I really wasn’t sure what to do with it, but I wanted to try and keep anything that was in the house, IN the house. This was originally in our primary closet, but was removed and was sitting in our basement collecting dust. After taking the closet out of the office I knew I needed anything & everything to help with storage- insert the old dresser here! We wanted to keep as many original details as we could, so this just felt like it had to stay.

I was originally thinking of just painting it white and calling it a day. It would match the trim & the shelves and look great. But then I had a last minute idea to paint it the same color as the walls and I am very happy I did! It blends in seamlessly. It also allowed the brass hardware to pop a little more.

The hardware was in such good condition I knew I wanted to keep it. Nothing better than original hardware!

Now all that is left for this office is my gallery wall. And a really big organizing/cleaning sesh. But I am feeling really good about this room and I can see the finish line!
